I was reluctant to try the New Domino’s Pizza but since they said it was better I gave it a try. I wish I had gone with my first instinct and not ordered it. I wasted 13 dollars. After 2 pieces I threw the rest away. The sauce was not much better than the old one and the pepperoni topping tasted Old. I’ll stick with Pizza Hut and Papa John’s.

My husband and i ordered this weekend from domino’s instead of papa johns. Big mistake! The seasoning was so overpowering that it made my tongue numb, the toppings were not fresh and Im not sure the old pizza wasn’t better. We took the Domino’s challenge and they FAILED!

Unfortunately I have to agree with the others on this one. I eat pizza about 3 times a week and Papa Johns is still the best tasting pizza. I order dominos when I have too but that’s only because Papa Johns won’t deliver to my address. It’s not that it’s gross…just not as good as the others. Sorry Dominos but I would keep trying if I were you.

Ate Dominos – 1 block away – for ten years – and actually liked it. Just tried the new thin crust pepperoni. The recipe tasted like a Norwegian with a tastebudectomy made the sucker. Pizzas are supposed to be spicy! I think a lot of the comments saying the pizza is good are bogus. Can’t be that many people who like it. It’s bogus. Got to be. The pizza is that baaaaaaad! It tasted like cardboard with crappo cheese. Really, really bad. Crust had no taste, sauce has no taste, cheese has no taste, pep has no taste. Like the lady above, ate three pieces and threw the rest away. STICK YOUR FINGER DOWN YOUR THROAT BAD!

At least you guys can depend on consistency when you order your pizza’s. My domino’s in Southaven, MS. might bring you the new pizza with the new crust and then again they may “forget” to put the garlic butter on there and whatever else they normally put on there to make it the “new pizza”.
I have twice in a row gotten the old pizza and we all know that it is horrible, AND has been horrible for YEARS! After a second attempt at trying the new pizza this weekend they again brought me the same old pizza and when I called them they said “someone must have forgotten to put the garlix butter and something else on there”. They said “it happens sometimes”? HUH? Throw out the old recipe and it wont happen again. Anyway, expensive pizza lesson this past weekend we decided we are sticking with pizza hut! They have always had better crust.

I work as a Youth Minister in Oklahoma and I have ordered Domino’s Pizza over 100 times in the past 3 years and each time it was in large quantities for Youth Group events, 10 or more pizzas. Before the change in recipe I must admit the kids got pretty tired of Domino’s and frankly so was I. SInce the change in recipe I have ordered more and more Domino’s upon request of the kids in my Youth Group. PLUS, the store here in Ada, OK. gives me us a great price for large pizzas since we are a church! You just can’t beat that, unless you go to Little Caesars, which there isn’t one in OKlahoma and let’s face it, their $5 large is probably the worst pizza out of all the chains. I approve of the change and applaud Domino’s for doing what most major corporations/companies don’t do this day in age, respect the consumer. After all, we ARE the ones keeping these places afloat. They depend on us more than the American public knows…

Based on my personal experience, I believe that the pizza is better. I like pizza hut but prefer dominos most of the time. The only problem which I have been having with my order is that they never put the topping I asked for. I like to order pizzas with extra-extra cheese and extra sauce and they still make a regular cheese pizza–this is a big problem if I am spending money on pizza. I even have this same problem with pizza hut. Pizza hut’s mia pizzas are terrible and the crust is bad. Another problem is that they need to require that all of the employees wear nets on their hair.

This pizza was awful. The crust is awful, greasy and overpowering. Apparently, the are unable to follow simple directions like “light cheese” and just do whatever they want. Papa Johns can follow directions. I am sad I wasted my money. Luckily, I have a buddy who was hungry for anything and bought one of my two medium pizzas from me. You failed and I paid for it.

What’s with all the negative reviews on here? I hated Domino’s before but I LOVE their new pizza. Papa Johns is ok but is THE WORST reheated pizza ever, and when I buy pizza I get enough for a couple days worth. With Domino’s new pizza I even eat the crust re-heated, that’s a first for me in the history of my life. I’m fully satisfied and would like to say thank you, Dominos.
Chuck D. | on March 23, 2010
Agreed. I *never* eat my crust, and now it’s ‘almost never.’ lol.

Tried to order Sat night from Papa Johns, but they were closed at 11 so we went with Domino’s. We ate 4 of the 5.99 mediums which were 1. Pepperoni and Sausage 2. Ham and Pepperoni 3. Thin crust pepperoni and pineapple with the big pepperoni 4. Cheesy bread . I last had domino’s about 3 mos ago and about 4 times in the last 5 years. The chees pizza I ordered 3 mos. ago had two slices eaten then it was thrown away…it WAS that bad. The new pizza is better than the old reciped ones, but what was gnarly was the over power garlic flavor in the new crust and cheesy bread. So, for the new pizza….I’ll just put it this way….we actually ordered pizza the following day from Papa Johns…..as commanded by 5 teenagers AFTER eating the NEW Domino’s. PJ just taste so much better. Masking your new pizza in garlic just doesn’t cut it……the damage has been done after years of not caring and saying that you have changed is great, but if the pizza isn’t any better why go back. Sorry Domino’s
Chuck D. | on March 23, 2010
NEW Dominos is much, much, much improved and now first on our big chain list. If we had Round Table Pizza in Austin we’d have a competition between big pizza joints, but for now; unless you go small/local, nothing touches this. Love the new garlic powder and spicy sauce!
SameCrap | on March 28, 2010
Yum, same garbage pizza as before!
I have an idea, let’s add more garlic to our existing pizza recipe and call it new!
Then we’ll purchase a multi-million dollar advertising budget to trick customers into buying our fast food.
Good job Domino’s the sad part is Little Caesars awful pizza is better than this slop. Maybe you should start over again, and if that doesn’t work, START OVER AGAIN. Given enough tries even a “special person” could get it right eventually.

I didn’t like dominos pizza in the first place. The crust was burnt, the sause was old, and did I mention how the cheese smelled?:( I tryed the new recipe last week. I wish I would have went to Little Ceasars. I can spend five dollars there instead of thirteen, and I would accually enjoy it. Dominos needs to get a different type of business. I got tons of ideas. Maybe they could be a landfill, and they could put their disgusting pizzas in there. I am going to stick with Little Ceasars or some other place. Over all, Dominos is the crappiest pizza in the world. Some spider pizzza in africa would taste TONS better.:(

I totally agree!

I wish you would have never change the crust. If i wanted garlic bread i would order garlic bread but as the only crust choice, YUK! The sauce change is also not good. You put peppers in the sauce and made it more spicy. So, my household cant eat it because we are allergic. JUST GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS. you lost customers.

In case anyone is wondering, the new pizza is completely reinvented. The old cheese was just mozzarella. Now it was a blend of mozzarella and provolone. The sauce is completely different, starting with more red peppers and more complex to describe. And finally, the crust gets a garlic butter after it comes out of the oven (which you can request to have left off, otherwise we’ll put it on). The quality of pizza will different from region to region, but personally I think the new Dominos Pizza is the best around. Papa John’s is too expensive and not too great. Pizza Hut has stuffed crust (which will always be a favorite) but i can’t stand eating it or even the thought of eating it anymore after Domino’s new recipe.

you get what you pay for… too expensive? in a 5 dollar little caesars mood or a 10 dollar papa johns mood..

I like the new pizza at Domino’s! I can’t eat Papa John’s as it messes up my tummy and to be honest I never thought it was that great anyway. I ate Pizza Hut for years and well I’ve gotten really tired of it. I thought the old Domino’s wasn’t that great and I was left to local shops to pick from.
I’ve had several of the new pizzas and wowsers – you have me hooked!
Kenneth S. Gulliford | on June 27, 2010
Dominoes,
I won’t order a pizza from you again. The girl behind the counter wasn’t using gloves. The guy behind the counter was sweating. The two pizzas that I ordered were $38.50. Both were burned on the bottom. The crust on mine; well the cardboard box was thicker. My wifes was missing sausage. It was from LLC 3965. It took 40 minutes to get the pies. I thought that I would try you guys, but we through out half of each pizza. I guess we’ll try Papa Johns. You also had a new guarantee on the side of each box. Let’s see if you hold up to it. Thanks Scott G.

I finally gave in and tried the new pizza recipe. I was very reluctant because I couldn’t stand the old one. I would say it’s not bad. My favorite is still Gatti’s PIzza! They use Provolone Cheese and that makes a big difference. If Gatti’s every goes out of business, I may give Domino’s another chance.

you know what dominoes iv loved dominoes pizza right from the beginning. I’ve never tried Papa Johns because it’s not in my area but Pizza hut? Jeez that is the greasiest pizza I’ve ever eaten. Plus it’s just plain out under cooked. Half of the dough is uncooked. Dominoes is my favorite pizza and always will be. Before and after there change.
